Yellowfish News
March 22nd- Well...couple things going on...we've got a new URL! Im happy because I hate spelling "endeavor" to people, and most dont remember it anyway...not making generalizations, but it's just what usually happens! In band news, we've been practicing a lot and writing new music...right now there are about 4 songs that are all near completion, so we're obviously excited about that. And in show news, there's a Knights of Columbus show in the works for the tentative date of April 23rd. More updates to come as more crap happens!

February 12th- Okay...yeah, its been a while yet again...Im just gonna stop making promises about updating the website and whatnot, in case anyone is actually being let down by my lack of activity, hahah...oh well. Purpose of this update: one show (maybe two?) coming up, go to the Shows section...NOW!

December 5th- Another show coming up on December 11th here in Grand Forks...check out the "Shows" section for details if you want to come.

November 1st- We have shows!!! It's been a while, but all of the sudden all of these fell together for us. Check out the "Shows" section to get details, and there's actually another one in December that is in the works...awesome.

October 2nd- WOW! No news from July to October...pathetic, you say? Well, yes, on my part...stuff has been happening, but there was definitely an inactive period in there, in which most of us were quite busy, and we were without a bass player...BUT, good news, we DO have a bass player now, Josh Salwey (A.K.A. YF bassist #3, heheh), and we're all very excited to be back in action again!! Also, in other big news, YF has teamed up with vocalist Dana Nova to form a little sideproject (tentatively titled Dana Nova & Yellowfish...strange, I know). Dana has quite a few contacts, and we hope to put on some larger-scale shows with him. So if everything goes according to plan, we could get some major exposure. I swear to keep the site updated now that we're out of our brief hiatus!! Stuff IS happening!

July 22nd- Lyrics are up! Check out the "Albums" section and you'll find them there...the page is starting to get messy, because I also put a few live songs up, and within the next few days I plan on putting a bunch more live stuff up, so the page will hopefully look a little prettier when Im done...anyway, enjoy!

July 21st- Yeah...haven't done News for a while, but I have been updating the site! The July 10th Town Square show went awesome, you can check out details in the "Shows" section. Also, we should also offically announce here that Mike "Mayor" Brown has left the band, so YF will just be Bisenius, Paulson, Swingen for a while. But, its not setting us back since the three of us have been in it from the beginning, so the music-writing is still movin along...right now we're working on getting Finding My Faith pieced together. In other news, a "Lyrics" page will be available soon, as well as live recordings of us, so keep checkin the site out!

June 12th- Okay, the new message board is up!!! It was a looooong night last night, but I "pretended" to be everyone who ever posted at the old board and copied every single post onto the new board...you could argue that I have no life, but I really just stayed up all night doing it, so I didnt really waste any of my day, persay...anyway, hope you like it!

June 11th- I did some site updating today...added some long-lost pictures to some of our older shows which you can check out in the "Shows" section. I also re-vamped the "Pictures" section and added some pics there. I've been working on a new message board the past few days, too. It's MUCH better in that there are no pop-ups or ads, and the message board will remember things such as how many posts you have, and any changes you make to your account will actually be applied to ALL of your posts! The only problem is, we'll lose all of our old posts...but Im workin on that...we'll see...oh, and I also archived some old news.

June 9th- Man, I should post news more than once a month...oh well, anyway, Mike's Pizza was a great gig, you can check out details in the "Shows" section. And, and you'll see in the "Shows" section, we have another gig comin up on Saturday, July 10th. I am personally organizing this show, it'll be us and a few other bands (TBA) in the Grand Forks Town Square, located downtown. The show starts at 6:00, but check out the "Shows" section for more details! Be there!

May 8th- Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us on May 7th! The show went really well, it was an awesome time. We have another show coming up on May 21st at Mike's Pizza in East Grand Forks. Check out our new "Shows" section to find out how to get there. Hope to see ya there!

April 18th- Come see Yellowfish live on May 7th at the Red River High School theater! (NOTE: this has been changed from May 8th) It's gonna be a great show; we're sharing the stage with Dingus, another local band that you're probably familiar with. We'll be playing about 45 minutes of music...our old stuff, and new stuff that hasnt been played live yet. Come check it out! May 7th

February 24th- Yellowfish has entered the studio! We finally have good recording equipment...well, we have the privilege of using someone elses equipment! We are recording our new songs and re-recording our old songs at Calvary Lutheran church with the help of Dave Adams, an awesome guy. Unfortunately, recording cant be our first priority right now since we're finishing the last few songs for the album and teaching our songs to Mike. But once that all gets wrapped up, recording will be a smooth process...you will see a Yellowfish album soon!

February 23rd- Sad news today....Our bassist, Marshall Clark, has decided to depart from Yellowfish. We are all saddened of course, but the show must go on. Since he had been thinking about it for a little while, we had been jamming with an aquaintance of ours, Mike "Mayor" Brown (formerly of the band Turpentine Chaser), just in case. Well, since the unfortunate happened, Mike is now the new bassist for Yellowfish! We are very happy and excited to have him with us...you'll see him live with us at the Fine Arts concert we announced earlier, and at the many shows we will be doing this summer!

February 13th- Believe it or not, Yellowfish is alive and busier than ever! The website has slowed down a bit, but we have been working harder and harder on new music. The purpose of this update is to let you all know that we have a gig! Red River High School is putting on a "Fine Arts Week" where students will get a chance to perform/display their original work from plays to movies to music. We are going to get either a 30 minute set or a 60 minute set...as of right now there are many things to be determined...but we are playing!!! The exact date is also TBA, so we'll keep you posted. Hope to see you there!
