This was an interseting gig for us. The reason we were there is because of an event called Art-Wise where children's and teenager's art is displayed in the ballroom at the Alerus Center, and apparently each year they have a bandstand of sorts, yadda yadda, our name came up somehow...Paulson could explain this better, but moving on...it was frustrating at first because they kept telling us to turn down since we were more "background noise" than anything. There was an area for people to sit and watch, but it wasnt exactly packed. Surprisingly, though, after the first two songs we all stopped caring about the frustration of being told that we're too loud and people not paying attention and we just cut loose and had fun playing. After our peformance we had a few people tell us that they were impressed, blah blah blah, and that's always really rewarding. Even if those few people were the only ones who actually liked us, it's worth it. Anyway, overall we did end up having a fun time and we hope to do a show like this again sometime.
